You know, I have been living in KC for several years now and I have recently become a die hard chiefs fan. I followed them for years, of course, but I am just now jumping on the band wagon. That being said, I have seen many opportunities for the chiefs to better their squad this offseason and they have continued to disappoint. Signing Zach Thomas and the likes is not going to get it done. Matt Cassel has nobody to throw the ball to either. With all wideouts out there, why aren't we signing any of them? The future of this time is in question. I am worried at this point and Scott Pioli along with the new regim have not given me any reason to be optmistic. This new crew needs to do something to grab the attention of the fan! I know its about winning games but the fans are what drives the NFL. Without us there is no NFL. I am not saying lets sign Plaxico Burress or even Anquan Boldin but why not take a look at the offensive lineman that was released from Cinncinati, Levi Brown. He would help solidify the offensive line and make things more comfortable for Cassel. Isn't that the main goal?
Bringing in second rate vets is not the way to build optimism. Are they being cheap? Are they scared? Is this the way Patriots do business? Someone please answer the questions for me. If we are pinning our hopes on Zach Thomas, Mike Brown, Mike Vrabel and the wideout whose name escapes right now then we might as well be looking to the college ranks for out next pick because we will definately be in the top 5 in the draft again!
